This has been a GREAT WEEK!!
We've heard from almost all our friends all over the world with kind
letters and phone calls wishing Apryl a Happy Retirement.
The highlight of the week was the Retirement Party, which many people
traveled long distances to attend, including friends from New York, Virginia,
California and Spain.

We thank everyone for their letters, calls, and good wishes, and
especially those who made the effort to attend Apryl's Retirement Party!!
Apryl is sporting her NEW BUZZ CUT, which everyone at the party couldn't
stop rubbing!!

Apryl is the most beautiful model of them all. I may be prejudiced
because I'm lucky enough to be married to her, but it's true- Apryl IS the
most beautiful model of them all.
At the age of 52, Apryl is every bit as beautiful as any of the 20 something
models out there.
Like a fine wine, Apryl only improves with age. |

She is also, in many ways, the MOTHER of this website. She handles
all the shipping and makes sure everyone gets what they order, no matter
how many tries it takes.
She also handles makeup and wardrobe with the models, and does an amazing
job of calming and instructing the models, who are usually apprehensive when
they arrive, and totally relaxed after five minutes with Apryl.
At least half the reason of our success is Apryl's amazing talents. |

After 26 years of marriage, we still have fun every day we are together,
and we're looking forward to a lot more time together with Apryl's retirement.
We still practice the old addage, "Never go to bed angry" but that still
leaves us plenty of time to fight all day.

Four days after flying her last trip, Apryl surprised me by saying
"Set up the studio. I want my hair cut."
"How short?" I asked her.
"Number 2 all over," she said.
I was pleasantly surprised, gave her a whopper of a kiss, and got the
studio ready.

We shot "Before" footage in several bathing suits, as well as dresses
and other outfits.
Then Apryl calmly sat in the chair, wearing the white bathing suit,
and said "Let's do it."

The moments that followed were among the most blissful of my life,
clipping Apryl's hair down to less than 1/4" all over. Apryl looks great
in her buzzcut, and we hope you'll join us for this amazing transformation

Rachel is a 21 year old college student who wants to shave her head.
She also wants to make some money to help her parents pay for her college
tuition. She is a "Class Act" in so many ways. Her major is Psychology, with
minors in History and Art. |

We negotiate our deal, sign the contract, and then Rachel says "I
was going to do this anyway." We tell Rachel that we're glad she decided
to have us shave her head for our video production.
Rachel is 5' 6" and weighs 110 pounds. She has thick brown hair, a great
smile and cute little dimples. |

"Everyone should try shaving their head at least once," she
says.
The other girls in the dorm are extremely supportive of her decision,
and we wouldn't be surprised if some of them decide to shave their heads
after seeing Rachel's "CUE BALL CUT," as she calls it. Her roomate Chloe
came with Rachel for moral support. Her boyfriend is also highly supportive
of her decision. |

We give Rachel the choice of having her hair cut in stages or all
at once.

Emily is a 22 year old model who may well be the most gorgeous bald
chick of all time!! She may also be the most enthusiastic model we've ever
seen. She CAN'T WAIT to have her head shaved, and she enjoys the experience
thoroughly.
When Emily came to the studio, she met Apryl, and the two of them hit
it off right away. Apryl did Emily's makeup and wardrobe, and then gave Emily
her haircut. |

During the haircut, Emily tells Apryl that she has shaved her own
head over a hundred times back in high school, and can't wait to get back
to having a shaved head. She explains that when she was 7 or 8 years old,
she wanted to shave her head. Then she enrolled as a dance student, focusing
mostly on ballet dancing, and was "not allowed" to cut her hair, since ballet
dancers are required to wear their hair in a bun for performances. |

This went on for years, as her hair got longer and longer. Emily
was required to keep her hair long despite her deep longing to have her head
shaved. Finally, in her senior year of high school she had had enough. She
quit the ballet troop, and the same day went to a beauty salon and asked
to have her head shaved. The stylist refused to shave her head, but DID cut
her waist length hair short- down to about 3 inches long.
Later that day, Emily went into the bathroom and clipped off the rest
of her hair and shaved her head smooth with a razor. |

Her parents, while somewhat freaked out, weren't exactly surprised,
because Emily had been talking about shaving her head since she was a little
girl. Emily kept her head shaved for the rest of the school year and all
that summer before growing it out during her freshman year in college. Now
she's decided, as a college senior, to go back to the shaved look and to
KEEP IT SHAVED!!
Needless to say, Emily is OUR KIND OF GIRL!! |

When it came time for the razor shaving, Emily did the job herself,
showing off her great skill with the razor, and pausing several times to
exclaim, "I LOVE IT!!" |

Monica is a real life G.I. Jane. When she joined the Navy,
she had waist length hair. During basic training she tried to keep her hair,
but it was difficult keeping it tied up all the time, and frankly,
was too hot!!
SOOOOOOOO..... She went to the barber shop and instructed the barber
to "cut it all off," and in a matter of five minutes she emerged with the
same haircut as Demi Moore in the movie "G.I. Jane." |

Now, at the age of 35, Monica is married to "one of us," and has
agreed to shave her head for the best reason of all- LOVE!! Monica
and Michael have been married for 5 years. They do everything together!

They have a catering business, and enjoy cooking together.
They are both avid walkers, and have walked together in several marathons.
When Michael asked Monica to shave her head, she agreed- after all, "THE
COUPLE THAT SHAVES TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER." |

Bethany is an art student who has wanted to shave her head for as
long as she can remember. Today she'll accomplish her goal.
Bethany arrives at our studio almost an hour early and says "I'm ready
to do it."
"I've tried shaving it myself a number of times," she says, "but each
time I chickened out at the last minute."
Today there'll be no chickening out. |

It's been three years since Amber's last haircut and she wants a
change- A BIG CHANGE!! She has thick, curly hair, and wants a radical new
look "completely different" from what she has now.
Amber seems calm and relaxed during the modeling session before her
haircut, but admits that she's nervous and hesitates for a moment before
sitting in the barber chair. Once in the chair, she's a lot more nervous,
but wants to go through with it.

JACQUELINE SAYS "REAL WOMEN DO IT TWICE"
Jacqueline is 34 years old and one of the most gorgeous models we've
ever seen. During her haircut, she tells us about the "FIRST" time she shaved
her head. It happened 14 years ago- when she was 20 years old. She decided
to shave her head, and did it "within minutes." She wacked off the long hair
with scissors, and then went to work with the clippers, taking off all her
hair down to stubble. She then lathered her head and shaved it smooth.
She kept it shaved for 4 months, saying she liked the attention and
the way it felt.
Now, 14 years later, Jacqueline wants to go back to a shaved head.
Jacqueline is surprisingly calm as we snip off her bangs, then clipper her
hair freehand down to an inch.
We then give her a mushroom haircut, clipped smooth on the sides and
back. Then, we run "Right down the middle," taking off the rest of her hair
in a matter of minutes.
We think Jacqueline looks like a 20 year old in this picture. She will
certainly make the list of "MOST GORGEOUS BALD GIRLS EVER."

One of the great pleasures of our "Paradise of Pelona" shoot was working
with April. She worked hard all day giving haircuts, and was "The Life of
the Haircut Party," so to speak.
At the end of the day, April asked me, "Do we have time for one more
haircut?"
"Who?" I asked.
"Me!" she said. Well sir, you could have knocked me over with a feather,
as I (of course) thought she meant she wanted a "Pelona" haircut. What she
wanted was a short haircut. She jumped into the chair, told Rodrigo how she
wanted it cut and in minutes her long hair was lying on the floor.
How did she like her new haircut?
"Fantastic!" she said.

her hair, but changed her mind when she saw how much fun Amee had having
her head shaved, and decided to join her in getting "the ultimate

Cherry is a 26 year old model with the thickest hair we've ever
seen!! She also has one of the brightest smiles and cheeriest dispositions
of all our models. She hasn't had a "real" haircut in seven years, but today
all that is about to change.
Cherry tells us the story of her last haircut- at the age of 19, in
her sophomore year of college. She and her sister were roomates, and Cherry
had waist length hair. |

One night they did a little drinking (OK, a LOT of drinking) and
decided to shave Cherry's head. By the time they got done, says Cherry, the
floor of the bathroom was covered with hair three inches thick.
She recalls waking up the next morning, feeling her newly shaved head
and wondering "What did I do!?!"

Tina is Cherry's sister. We're sure you all remember Cherry from
Video 187. Several years ago, Tina and Cherry went out to a party, and both
of them had a few drinks- actually more than a few drinks- they had A LOT
OF DRINKS!!

When they got back from the party, Tina suggested that Cherry needed
a haircut. Cherry agreed. Tina pulled out a pair of scissors and started
cutting Cherry's hair. Cherry's hair got shorter and shorter, and ended up
being shaved bald. Each of the girls claims the headshaving was the other
one's idea, and we'll probably never know because they were both pretty
drunk. |

Earlier this year, Cherry came to our studio and shaved her head.
Now, both Tina and Cherry have decided to shave their heads and become "the
bald sisters."
We come up with a skit idea called "Cherry's Revenge," in which Cherry
talks her sister into a "trim" which gets shorter and shorter and ends up
with a smoothly shaved Tina. What starts out as a playful skit turns into
real life revenge as Cherry mercilessly pays Tina back for the shearing she
received from Tina years ago.
